Also known as Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple, Baba Baidayanath temple or Baba Baidyanath Dham is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the most sacred house of Shiva. The temple is located in Deogarh in the state of Jharkhand. The entire temple premises contain the main Baba Baidyanath temple where Jyotirlinga is installed and twentyone other temples.
As per Hindu beliefs, Ravana, the demon king, worshipped Shiva in this temple to be blessed with powers to wreak havoc in the world. The best time to visit the Baba Baidyanth temple would be from October to March. It is the time when Shravan Mela ends and the majority of devotees leave, making it easier to access all the parts of the temple and pray comfortably.
