The Badrinath temple is one of the four dham pilgrimage yatras. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is situated at the height of 10,279 feet, where it is surrounded by snow-capped Himalayas. The temple also has a Tapt Kund, a hot water spring which is considered good for medicinal purposes. Since Badrinath is accessible by road, driving up to the pilgrimage is not that difficult. The temple remains closed from November to April because of the extreme weather conditions. The temple invites a large number of devotees every year because of the religious importance and serenity it offers.
