    Gulmarg Golf Course

    It is pure fun to play Golf in the World’s highest Course. It is located in Gulmarg and the 18-hole Gulmarg Golf Course has 72 par and is very hilly. It was built in the year 1904 by the British who used to reside there during that period. The visitors or members can also indulge in other sports like Table Tennis or Billiards amidst the natural beauty of the area. It covers an area of 7505 yards and is located at a height of 2650 m. However, the course remains covered with snow during the months December-April. The pro Shop is registers with the Tourism Department and the visitors can easily hire the golf sets and balls for playing. The Golf course is presently under renovation and the tees are being relocated to offer a better experience and appearance to the Course. The area housed the first Golf Championship in 1922.
