This is a very old temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is located on the highest peak of Simla. Obviously from here, you get to see breathtaking views. You can view the Shivalik range and the Sanjauli town. One can go to the Hanuman temple by foot or there is also a provision of hiring a horse. A big festival is held in the temple on the day of Dusherra. As per the legend it was here that Lord Hanuman rested for a while when he was going to get the Sanjeevani plant for reviving the unconscious Laxmana.
In the year 2010, the largest statue of Lord Hanuman was made public. This idol is 108 feet in height. It is located on the highest altitude. This is considered as the world’s tallest statue. There is a ropeway which connects the Ridge with the temple. This is considered one of the most famous temples of Simla. The tallest statue of the Lord was inaugurated by a public figure and celebrity Abhishek Bachchan. You will find many rhesus macaques moving around the place in hope of getting Prasad and food. Inside the temple, there is a small deity of the Lord Hanuman.
