Kedarnath Temple is one of the holiest temples that Hindus dedicated to their god Shiva. It is located in place called Garhwal Himalayan range near a river called Mandakini. The Temple is found in Uttarakhand state in India. The Temple is mostly open in April due to the extreme weather conditions there. The temple was built by a man called Pandavas and its revival done by Adi Sankaracharya. The Temple is also among the twelve Jyotirlingas which are considered the holiest temples by people of the Hindu religion. It is believed that the original Kedarnath Temple could have been constructed in the 8th century AD when Adi Shankara visited the place.
The location of the Temple is on a plateau and is surrounded by snow clad mountain and glaciers. While inside the Temple the first hall has statues of the five Pandava brothers, Lord Krishna, Nandi, Virabhadra one of the guards of god Shiva. While still inside the Temple you will also be able to see the statue of Draupadi and some other deities which are also installed inside it. You will also be amazed when you get to see a head of a man that is carved in the triangular stone fascia in the temple.
