More about Old North Church, Boston and Historical Information
Located at 193 Salem Street, in the North End, Boston, Old Town Church is the place from where the famous “one if by land, two if by sea” signal is sent. The phrase was used during Paul Revere’s midnight ride on April 18, 1775, which was followed by the battle of Lexington and Concord of the American Revolution.
Built-in 1723, the Old Town Church is the oldest church building in the city of Boston. The church contains within its boundaries a bust of Geroge Washington. Now, the Old Town Church serves as one of the four churches sites among the 16 stops of the Freedom Trail.
